Boreal Design Esperonto Tandem Kayak
The Esperanto is one of the fastest plastic tandems on the market. It is easy to paddle, comfortable, stable, and can reach impressive cruising speeds. A moderate rocker and a large rudder contribute to efficient turns. The practical center compartment can be used for extra storage or outfitted with our optional child seat/bulkhead. The cockpits are spaced sufficiently apart, allowing the paddlers to paddle at their own speed without risk of accidental collision between paddles. This makes the Esperanto ideally suited to a pair of paddlers with mixed abilities, families with young children, or a long expedition needing high volume of storage and displacement.
Please see conditions for rental below. All rentals come with two spray skirts, two paddles + one spare, throw bag, bilge pump and other Transport Canada mandated equipment. Delivery/pick up to desired launch site on Avalon Peninsula possible for additional fee.

Sea Kayak Rental Requirements Checklist
Your safety is our primary concern. As such, previous paddling experience is required for solo kayaks. Absolute beginners should rent a double or two-person kayak. All renters will be assessed for paddling abilities and will need to demonstrate kayak stability and control (i.e. going in a straight line, balance & stopping).
Renters must be 18 or older (come prepared to show I.D.)
Renters 17 years of age and under, coming WITH or WITHOUT a parent/guardian require parent/guardian to sign a youth waiver. All renters must read and sign our rental agreement and terms of service prior to taking possession of a kayak.
Please check Environment Canada or Windy for weather/water conditions the day of your rental to make sure conditions match your abilities.
